How does NDIS transport work with CareDrive?

CareDrive provides NDIS-friendly transport for self-managed and plan-managed participants. We issue itemised invoices that participants, families and plan managers can claim against NDIS transport funding. CareDrive is not a registered NDIS provider.

Can Support Coordinators book on behalf of participants?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Support Coordinators can open a Corporate Healthcare Account, manage multiple participants from one dashboard, and receive consolidated monthly invoicing.

Can healthcare providers open corporate accounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Aged care providers, NDIS providers, allied health clinics, medical centres, hospitals and insurers can open a Corporate Healthcare Account with dedicated account management, priority bookings and GST tax invoices.

Can hospitals book patient transport?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We provide hospital admissions, discharges and inter-facility transfers. Discharge bookings can be arranged at short notice subject to driver availability, and billed directly to the hospital.

Can injured workers use CareDrive?

Yes. CareDrive supports SIRA workers compensation clients travelling to medical appointments, physiotherapy, allied health, specialist reviews and rehabilitation.

How is Workers Compensation billed?

We bill the approving insurer or case manager directly on behalf of the injured worker. Trip details, appointment references and claim numbers are captured at booking and included on every tax invoice.

Do you provide GST tax invoices?

Yes. Every trip generates a compliant Australian GST tax invoice — available immediately in the customer portal and included with monthly corporate statements.

Can family members make bookings?

Absolutely. Family members can book, manage and pay for rides on behalf of a parent, spouse or dependant, and receive live trip updates.

What areas do you cover?

We currently service Greater Sydney — including CBD, Western Sydney, Parramatta, Hills District, Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, North Shore, Macarthur and Sutherland Shire. Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane are launching soon.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend 24–48 hours in advance where possible. We will always try to accommodate shorter-notice medical or hospital discharge trips subject to driver availability.

Are your drivers compliance-checked?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every CareDrive driver completes licence, NSW driving history, police check, identity, vehicle registration and insurance verification before approval — and is continuously monitored after activation.

Can a support worker or family member travel with the passenger?

Yes. A support person or family member is welcome to travel with the passenger at no extra charge.

Do you provide wheelchair-accessible vehicles?

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

Credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, NDIS-friendly invoicing, workers compensation insurer billing or corporate account. Payments are processed securely through trusted third-party payment providers — CareDrive does not store card details on its own servers.

Can I set up recurring rides?

Yes. We support recurring weekly rides and match you with the same driver where possible for continuity of care.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before pickup are free of charge. Late cancellations may incur a fee equivalent to the base trip charge. Hospital and medical exceptions are always considered.
